I'm so tired of reading how tough the plight of the middle child is. Did it suck, yes! But it also had it's many perks. When you're in the thick of it it's hard to see how awesome you really have it, so I understand. However, as an adult now I'm finally able to appreciate how being a middle child shaped who I am today.
I'm independent, loving, easy to make new friends, creative, and I have a sarcastic personality that makes life just a little bit less serious and more fun. I have leadership qualities despite not being the oldest and I'm able to adopt a care-free attitude sometimes even though I'm not the youngest. We middle children really do have the best of both worlds.
In order to shine some positive light on us middle children, I wrote a Community Buzzfeed post that celebrates us, the middle children and all the perks that come along with it.
So, to all my fellow middle children out there - you're awesome and I love you.
